Memory Node
The agent's long-term memory: a My Data table it reads in every conversation.
Overview
The Memory node gives an Agent a memory that lasts beyond one chat. Attach it to an Agent and pick a table: in every conversation the agent knows what is in it, and it saves instructions and facts it will need again. The memory is shared by everyone who uses the agent.
Configuration
| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
Table |
The My Data table that holds the memory. Use Create memory table to make one | - |
The agent |
Remembers and forgets (reads and writes) or Only reads it |
Remembers and forgets |
Entries kept |
Maximum entries, up to 200. When it is full, the agent forgets an entry before it remembers another | 50 |
Memory vs Session Memory
| Session Memory (Agent setting) | Memory node | |
|---|---|---|
| Lasts | One conversation | Across all conversations |
| Shared | Per conversation | With everyone who uses the agent |
| Stored in | The conversation | A My Data table you can open and edit |
Example: Support agent that learns house rules
Chat Start → Agent (Memory attached, "Remembers and forgets") → Send Response
Tell the agent once, "we never offer refunds after 30 days", and it remembers it in every later conversation.
Best Practices
- Use Only reads it for a curated knowledge table that only people should edit.
- Open the table in My Data from time to time to check what the agent has saved.
