Setting it up
Six steps to your own shop
You will need
- A Ubex account, where the app's workflows and tables run
- Your own product photos, online at a web address
- Add your own JWT_SECRET.
- Set the app's address in the allowed origins of the workflows.
- Clear the demo users, orders and order lines from the tables.
- Publish the app on a subdomain or custom domain.
- Create the first account. It becomes the admin.
- Enter the shop's details in Settings, replace the sample products, and change the categories in the Categories table.

What it doesn't do
Better to know now than later. You can add any of this yourself: the code is yours to change.
- No online paymentThere is no card or wallet checkout. The shop arranges payment with the customer and sets the order to Paid.
- No emailsNo order confirmations, shipping updates or receipts by email. Customers follow their orders in My orders.
- No password resetA customer who forgets their password has to contact the shop.
- No guest checkoutAn account is needed to order.
- No discount codesA product can show an old price, but there are no codes or coupons.
- No variantsNo sizes, colours or options: each product is one item with one price.
- No photo uploadProduct photos are set by web address.
- Cancelling doesn't restockCancelling an order does not put its items back in stock.
- One currencyOne currency per shop.
- No reviewsNo product reviews or ratings.
- No category screenCategories are changed in the Categories table or through the API, not in the admin.
- One flat shipping feePlus free shipping above a threshold. No shipping zones, carrier integration or tracking numbers.
- No invoices, tax or returnsNo invoices, tax calculation, refunds or returns handling.
- Content in one languageThe interface switches between English and Romanian, but products, categories and the announcement bar are entered once, in the shop's language, and are not translated.
Everything in these screens is made up: Northwind Store, its email address and phone number, its customers and their addresses, the orders and the revenue figures. The product photos are placeholders from Unsplash. They are not part of the app, so replace them with your own.
